ABOUT US
Wingamin White Suffolk Stud at a glance
Established in 1988 -
Registered flock no. 50
We live near Karoonda, in South
Australia's Murray Mallee region. It's a 325 mm rainfall district with the main
farming operations being cereal growing, sheep and wool production.
We registered our White Suffolk stud (Flock no.50) in 1988. White Suffolks were
still a developing breed at that time, but now are one of the most popular,
leading terminal sire breeds in Australia.
We have found White Suffolks to be versatile and adaptable, performing
well in tough Mallee conditions, growing quickly and reaching target weights
without becoming excessively fat.
The property and flock attains MN 3 status under the OJD Market Assurance
Program and is accredited Brucellosis Free. The entire Wingamin flock is
performance tested through Lambplan and the stud attains GOLD status for highest
data quality standard.
