- Once again, it was really pleasing to see our rams performing well in other studs with the first four placegetters in the sire's progeny group class at Sheepvention all being sired by Wingamin rams! 1st W122714 (Mertex), 2nd W140384 (Wingamin), 3rd W140281 (Glenarbian), 4th W140110 (Noremac)
Outstanding raw data on our entire show team including our 3 keeper rams - Wingamin 161005, Wingamin 161106 & Wingamin 161198 and also Wingamin 160888 with a whopping 55 emd who sold to Max & Trudy Treweek, Lauridale Stud. The scan data pictured was taken at Hamilton Sheepvention in August 2017.

- Must also mention that we were super excited to see Wingamin 122714 "Bendigo" progeny doing great things for Mertex stud at this year's Sheep and Wool Show! A big congratulations to Tim, Basil and Heather on winning Grand Champion ram and Supreme WS Exhibit with a son - the Mertex Champion's maternal grand dam also being a Wingamin ewe! Wingamin 122714 (Grand Champion & Supreme WS at Bendigo in 2014) has been breeding the house down here at Wingamin siring the 2016 Grand Champion and Supreme WS exhibit for us (Wingamin 150402 - sold for $10,000 to Western Australia) He's a powerful, prepotent and exceptional caracase sire. A rare combination - commercial breeding strength combined with perfect balance and structure!
